Anytime: Daniel and Caroline

~E

I recently met up with my sister and we took her two kids, Daniel and Caroline, to Bloomsbury Farms outside Atkins, IA. What a blast! If you need something to do with your kiddos on a nice fall day you could spend hours and hours there! They have animals, games, tires to climb on, hayrack rides through the corn, huge pumpkin patches, corn mazes, a jumping pillow, haunted houses, a spinning vortex, pig races, corn and pumpkin shoots, food, gift shops, and I could go on and on!

I love the smiles Daniel gives when you try to get him to look.

Love this one - makes me smile every time I look at it!!! My dad and I used to sing "Me and My Llama" from Sesame Street to each other all the time! - "Goin to the dentist today!"

Daniel's favorite spot was the corn box!

The kids also loved the shed filled with hay bales. Who knew? We tried our best to get a photo of the two kids together. Daniel coaxed Caroline over and when we told Caroline to smile this is what Daniel did - love it!

Probably my favorite of the day!

I really got a kick out of the pig races! They opened up the gates similar to a horse or dog race at a casino and rang a cowbell to get the pigs to race around the circle. The race had a host and the pigs had funny names like David Letterham and Paris Squealton.

I thought the coolest part of the day was this pumpkin shot thing! These two young boys would power it up and raise the bed of the truck. They packed the long tube with hay and a small pumpkin and then pushed the button and watched the pumpkin sail for miles. Not joking either - it went sooo far. And those boys laughed and laughed. I'm sure they had done it a million times, but they clearly found it hilarious every time. I laughed just watching them! I told my sister it reminded me of the time my husband and his roommates crushed their dining room table in the parking lot and he said I would have used three rolls of film. To this day he says it's his favorite college experience!

Have a great day! ~E
