Wedding: John and Shayla

~E

Sarah would be disappointed in me lately as I haven't blogged for about a week. She's always on top of that and I'm just struggling to stay afloat lately. Some of my college roommates came down to Iowa City and I had the best weekend! I golfed, shot pics of one of my roommates and her hubby, got a pedicure - WAY girly, I know, went out to eat, hung out at a "newly found" coffee shop in IA City, and enjoyed the local 4-H pancake breakfast. Since I let everything go and tried to enjoy myself over the weekend, I've trapped myself in my house since Sunday night trying to get caught up on things.

Once again Sarah already posted some images from this wedding but I still wanted to add a few. I promise the next set of pics will be completely new!

These bridesmaids were incredible! The girls were fanning and dabbing the bride, tying up the back, listening to her practice her vows - it was intense!

This was their first look at each other. Look closely - we found John in the sanctuary practicing his vows too!

John and Shayla's reception was gorgeous and creative! They had a huge candy table with each kind carefully labeled. Each guest walked in and picked up their name tent. The back had a year on it. Each table had a tall sign with a year and the guests' tags aligned with those years.

Each table had a card that listed popular TV shows, who was president, etc. during that particular year.

The bride and groom gave us special instructions to grab them at sunset - soooo glad they did!
