I couldn't believe the sun! It was beautiful!




I have been having a great time here in Chicago. Yesterday I got a chance to ask questions to my Grandma's sister, Eva, about immigrating to America from Romania. I loved listening to her talk all about it in her cute Romanian accent. I can't believe all of the things she went through at such a young age. She watched her grandfather, mother, and aunt die while she and my grandma were waiting for their father to collect enough money in America to send for them. I can't wait to talk to her again and hear more about what it was like living in Romania. We are crossing our fingers about planning a trip with my mom and sisters for Eva to show us around Romania.

When my Grandma was alive I was too young to think of taking advantage of the time I had with her to learn about her life and my ancestry. So please, please, please remember to ask lots of questions of your grandparents. You never know when it might be the last chance you get! The things you can learn from them are truly invaluable.

Erin and I will be attending the Free to Succeed Tour tonight and we are pumped!

We will be back in town tomorrow!
