When the UPS man came that day my eyes lit up and I giddily grabbed the box away from him, did a little dance, and sliced through the tape with my house key. I eagerly slid the styrafoam from the box to reveal my new baby; my first prime lens! She is beautiful, and I love her! :) Then I continued my happy dance over to my camera and twisted her on my camera.
I grabbed my roommate and she knew she didn't have a choice whether she was modeling or not. She just understands these things. She gets just as excited for me about my photography as I do! In fact, when I told her about my lens she jumped and clapped with me. She doesn't know aperature from shutterspeed, but she knows I'm excited, so she's right there being silly and giddy with me.
