One night while I was in Las Vegas I planned to meet up with a group of friends from VLS to practice some off-camera lighting, but I misunderstood where we were to meet and missed the group. I ended up exploring off on my own and trying out some camera settings. I came across a few photographers shooting a beautiful bride and groom. I watched for about a minute and then continued on my way. After about 15 seconds with my back turned to the couple I turned around. I wanted so badly to shoot along with these photographers. I figured what the heck...I'm in Vegas. So I went up to the lead photographer of the shoot, Scarlett and asked her if I could shoot along with her. She said it would be fine, so I followed them around for about an hour and got some pretty sweet shots. Luckily, they were working with the same off-camera lighting I was going to be testing out with the other group, so I still got to practice that a bit.
I purchased a video light, so hopefully I will get to do some test shots soon to show you guys.
Thanks to Scarlett, and to Ross and Lesya of FloSites for letting me get some shots.

I'm still dinking around with some texture stuff and working to get the exact look I want.

Fun! I love the ones with the motion blur like the Bellagio in the background and the people walking around them. It was great to meet you and glad we could help you use that time to experiment with new techniques! Keep in touch!
I was wondering, when do we get to find out who won the contest:)
Oh-these are phenomenal! You did a fantastic job and I love following your blog. Thanks for sharing this impromptu wedding shoot--beautiful couple, beautiful shots!
