Action/motion shots are one of my favorites to do, because when you look at a motion shot you don't even consider the photographer. The subject, motion, and emotion becomes all that encases your thoughts and the photo becomes more powerful because of it. And that is what I like to present. I want people to be thinking about my subjects when they look at my shots, not me and my techniques. I think letting moments happen and capturing them is so much more meaningful than trying to create a moment. Emotions are a universal language that we all use and understand. Anyone from any background, culture, or launguage can look at a photo and understand it and even be effected or moved by it and each in his or her own way. I won't get into it too much because I could talk about it all day long, but all of this is why I absolutely love my job and why I know it is what is right for me. It is about catching that moment when the subject lets go of inhibitions and lets a bit of their soul show. To me photography isn't documenting one's age and appearance for records anymore. Photography is showing who a peron is at a specific point in their life. Showcasing emotions and moments to effect others makes me feel like I am doing what I should in this world. It just makes me feel right inside, and I don't know that there is any other way to describe it. And that is why I do what I do. And also why I love it!

Happy Monday!

Your action shots are inspiring! Absolutely love the girls on the beach and their long shadows and love the runner for the speed that the image portrays.
