New York: We Made It

Hi there! No photos to post just yet, but had a quick minute to say we finally made it to New York! We left yesterday about 4:30 in the afternoon with three tour buses and 160 kids and made it to New York City at about 3:30 today. Traveling with 160 high school kids makes for some interesting times, but a short bus breakdown and a trip to take a student to the hospital added to the mix! Because of those troubles, we arrived a bit late and missed some of our NBC tours.

I took a small group for a quick lunch and a short shopping spree. It was pouring rain so nobody was overly anxious to explore just yet. Tonight we went to Medieval Times where we ate a gigantic meal (with no silverware) and watched guys joust on horses. Even though I'm not posting anything right now I'm super excited about some of the photos I took - lots of umbrella pics and some beautiful foggy views from our drive through Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I got the very front seat of the bus so nobody had a better view.

Tomorrow the choir and band perform at St. John the Divine Cathedral and at a children's hospital. We're eating in Little Italy and going to Broadway shows (I'm going to Hairspray!!!). Hopefully I'll be able to get a few pics up tomorrow!

Have a good night ~E
